Blog #123: Saha Global Grant Update

In mid-2017, a $10,000 Project Grant was awarded to Saha Global to initiate clean water businesses in Ghana.  Update: “The past quarter has been an exciting one for Saha Global.  We completed our Summer Global Leadership Program, where 37 volunteers helped Saha to open 10 new water businesses in rural Ghana.  These businesses provide clean water for 3,600 people and jobs to 28 women entrepreneurs.  One of these new water entrepreneurs, Azaratu, who lives in the village of Zene, opened her water business in June.  When we asked her for her thoughts after one month of running the business she said that the change in taste of her drinking water (from dugout water to clean water) has been great.  She is also happy that after implementation “people from Saha will still come, and you really show up!””
