2017 was a successful year for the Little Sisters Fund’s Primary Educator Training (PET) Program in Nepal. Despite scheduling conflicts and political instability due to national, regional, and local elections, they were able to train 135 teachers from nine partner schools – eight of which were outside of the Kathmandu Valley area. They also conducted eight PET Revive trainings at schools that had already taken the initial training, providing refreshed training to 123 new and veteran teachers. And they were able to make 29 follow up visits to schools that recently underwent the training, allowing them to answer any lingering questions and make sure the concepts learned during the training were being properly implemented. AllPeopleBeHappy foundation renewed funding for this project in January, 2018.
