Through an AllPeopleBeHappy Project Grant, Little Sisters Fund (LSF) carries out its Primary Educator Training (PET) program, which is designed to improve the teaching style of educators all over Nepal, shifting their classroom style from one that focuses on rote memorization to one that fosters creative and analytical thinking in students. Over the first three months of this grant period, LSF’s teacher trainer conducted nine PET workshops. 61 teachers from nine schools in Sindhupalchok and Dolakha districts took part in the trainings. The six trainings in Sindhupalchok were part of a partnership with the Sansar Maya orphanage’s teacher training program. At this training, the Sansar Maya team trained the teachers on “Making Learning Fun with Limited Resources” while the LSF team trained the teachers on “Classroom Management.”
