An AllPeopleBeHappy Project Grant has been awarded to The Recreation Project (TRP) for “Piggery Development Program: Cultivating Social and Economic Capital Among Youths in Gulu”, Northern Uganda. Due to the South Sudan Civil War, many South Sudanese refugees are living in refugee settlements in Uganda. This project will teach 40 youths to build and develop their own IMO (Indigenous Micro Organisms) piggeries and then learn how to sell the pigs. This involves building the physical housing structure, buying piglets and raising them to maturity for sale.
