A $10,000 Project Grant has been awarded to Green Empowerment for a WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) program in the Philippines. In the Filipino community of Tabgas, households still lack household access to water and sanitation; this grant will be used specially to construct 65 latrines for sanitation infrastructure in this village. Green Empowerment has already secured funding for the water distribution infrastructure. The proposed project will provide sanitation facilities and water services to at least 90% of the village population, with the anticipated outcome of reducing disease incidence and improving health, quality of life, and time-savings for over 2,000 people.
