The AllPeopleBeHappy foundation has awarded a Fellows grant to Samaya Al-Eiadeh, working with Collateral Repair Project in Amman, Jordan. Founded in 2006, Collateral Repair Project (CRP) runs various programs to serve children and youth refugees from Iraq, Syria, Somali, Sudan, and Yemen, ranging from education to trauma relief. It currently has two community centers in Hashemi Shamali and Downtown Amman. As a Program Officer for CRP, Samaya’s duties are 1) support Arabic and Math youth tutoring programs, 2) support drop-in program, 3) train and coach new community volunteers, 4) implement and enforce child protection policies, and 5) monitor and evaluate program outcomes.
