Blog #39: Hulbert, McKenney

We awarded 22 Volunteer Service Awards in 2014, 15 in the spring, and 7 in the fall.  In this blog, we are introducing two more of our seven fall recipients.  Amelia Hulbert and Sydney McKenney are both working with Manna Project International (MPI) in Valle de Los Chillos, Ecuador.  Amelia Hulbert is helping to expand MPI’s programs to include childhood nutrition programs in the Fajardo community and a micro-finance program in the Miranda community.  Sydney McKenney is teaching adult English classes, and working with MPI’s preventative health program in trying to raise awareness about Ecuador’s major health issues, such as diabetes, and sexual education.
