We recently renewed for the sixth year in a row AllPeopleBeHappy Project Grant to The Kossoye Project. Interestingly, The Kossoye Project is now in its sixth year as a 501(C)(3) organization, teaching thousands of rural villagers in Ethiopia on how to grow their own food and to combat malnutrition. This current grant of $10,000 will be used to deliver nutrition and gardening workshops targeted at teachers and students during the school year. In 2013, Kossoye piloted a five school workshop program for teaching nutrition and gardening in the Amhara Regional National State, the region of the country with the highest rate of malnutrition. This program will now be expanded to include at least five more schools.
