The AllPeopleBeHappy foundation has granted 8 Volunteer Service Awards this Spring. 
Of the 8 recipients, Carissa Chen, Shanelle D’Alessio, Rachel Kanen, and Martha Lee, are volunteering with Manna Project International (MPI). Since July of 2015, they have all committed to volunteering with MPI for 13 months as Program Directors, in Cedro Galán, Chiquilistagua and Villa Guadalupe, Nicaragua, and plan to continue volunteering until August 2016. MPI takes a holistic approach to development and each year new program directors build on the work of their predecessors, teaching nutrition and health, English, working with artisan coops, and working with the local medical clinic.
