Comunidad Connect

ComunidadCPicComunidad Connect is involved in community development activities in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua.  The $10,000 AllPeopleBeHappy grant was used to expand Comunidad Connect’s municipal recycling program to three rural communities in the San Juan del Sur municipality.  They worked with three rural schools to develop recycling/composting centers and school gardens.  Eight workshops involving 150 students and teachers have been held, and 4000 pounds of plastics have been collected and sold.   (www.comunidadconnect.org)
